Xilitla

The ride from Jalpan de Serra to Xilitla was twisty but not as much in comparison to Highway 20. Still not enough of a shoulder or pull offs for pictures. We detoured into a small village for a rest stop and quick snack. A group of motorcyclists rolled in for a rest stop as well. They also had a variety of bikes ranging from BMW’s to Harley’s.

The City of Xilitla

We booked ahead through the Booking website at the Hotel Sierra Linda. But never thought to ask a couple of questions. What is access like to the hotel front door? And what is parking like for our bikes?

The front door to the hotel is on an insanely steep sidewalk that does not have vehicle access. And the small parking compound is two blocks straight down the hill. The hotel itself was quite comfortable and we could see for miles over the city from our terrace.
