Snake River Canyon
We took a ride to the Snake River Canyon which winds its way by Twin Falls. There are also paved pathways for the energetic to walk down to the canyon floor. The canyon road lead to a gravel road taking explorers to Auger Falls.
Between the Snake River and the canyon floor road, is a golf course, The Blue Lakes Country Club. And on the other side of the Snake River is the Canyon Springs Golf Course.
The I.B. Perrine Bridge, as part of U.S. Highway 93, spans the Snake River Canyon, joining the two sides of the canyon. The 4-lane bridge connects Jerome County and Interstate 84.
Exploring the Downtown
There are many quaint coffee shops and restaurants to choose from. Twin Beans was recommended for their crepes by a local resident. They offer sweet and savory crepes, along with specialty coffees.
The menu has a huge selection. I decided on the Firefly in which the crepe was filled with chicken, bacon, gouda, tomatoes, spinach, and pesto with ranch dressing drizzled on top. Since it is October I couldn’t resist trying their Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. Both were delicious!!!
This statue in front of City Hall, and in town square, is honoring the location the first pin was placed when Twin Falls was built.
At the end of one of the downtown streets, we discovered R.S. Garner Enterprises. A Volkswagen & Porche Repair shop. The owner said he had been in business there for over 40 years. A very interesting, unique repair shop.
